# E a capacidade adaptativa

O framework dos ecossistemas resilientes proposto pela Resilience Alliance em 2007 é explicitamente uma “ferramenta para pensar inspirada no equilíbrio ecossistêmico”, organizada e apresentando 4 fases claramente marcantes: (1) Crescimento ou exploração (R), (2) Conservação (K), (3) Colapso ou lançamento (ômega) e (4) Reorganização (alpha).

A capacidade adaptativa refere-se, portanto, à capacidade de um sistema para lidar com perturbações ecológicas e sociais a fim de manter a resiliência (FOLKE et al., 2002; HOLLING et al., 2002; SMIT; WANDEL, 2006).

É uma forma avançada de planejar por zonas, focado intensamente na interação entre os elementos do sistema em busca da resiliência.

Resiliência aqui “refere-se a magnitude da mudança ou perturbação que um sistema pode experimentar sem mudar para um estado alternativo que tem propriedades, materiais estruturais e funcionais diferentes, transformando os pacotes de serviços ecossistêmicos que beneficiam as pessoas” (RESILIENCE ALLIANCE, 2007).
